The group at Funko have unveiled the contents of their highly anticipated Spider-Man themed box. So let’s not waste any time and dive into what is in the box! (Writer’s note: All of these images are screen shots from the YouTube unboxing by Original Funko) Remember, everything inside the box is 100% exclusive to the Marvel Collector Corps. These items will not be sold in stores.

First and second we have is the standard patch and pin that come with every Funko subscription box. Both of these are very nice looking and for those that enjoy the crafting project of sewing onto their jackets or shadow boxes and lining up the pins will enjoy these in their collections.

The other standard is the Pop variant comic cover. This is issue 16 for the current ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ run by Dan Slott. The cover is actually a nice foreshadowing for what else we’ll see in the box.

Next up we have a Pop Spider-Man hat from Funko’s new line of Pop themed hats. The quality of the fabric looks nice and is a snap back to keep up with trends and keep everyone happy without having to ask about head size.

Next we have a Spider-Man Fabrikations doll. These dolls are nice little features for any nerds couch, bed, shelf, etc. The quality looks nice and should please any Spidey fan.

Finally, we have the exclusive Funko Pop figure which is in an action pose. The pose is actually reminiscent of the Pop cover of ASM #16 we saw at the top of the box.

One of the biggest pluses to this pop is that it looks like they used the Civil War mold for Spidey’s mask/head. Previous Spider-Man molds have button eyes (as seen in the header image). The full mask eye looks so much better than the button eyes.

All-in-all, this box is ok and receives a 2.5/5.

Funko has revealed that the next MCC box will be themed after Dr. Strange (likely the movie) and will be out in October.

If you’re a fan of the subscription boxes but aren’t as big on Marvel as this writer, Funko also offers subscription boxes for DC and Star Wars. The boxes are $25 (plus shipping and handling) and offer $50 worth of content.
